What if your morning started with something truly handmade?

Every loaf, every pastry, every cup at El Quetzal is crafted from scratch — no shortcuts, no compromises. Just the kind of bread and coffee that makes you slow down and actually taste your morning.

Our Story

A bakery built on patience, not production

El Quetzal started with a simple belief: that the things worth doing are the ones worth doing slowly. Our sourdough ferments for 48 hours. Our croissants are laminated by hand, fold after careful fold. We don't rush anything that touches your plate.

Located on East Main Street in downtown Stamford, we've become a quiet destination for people who care about what they eat — and who want a warm, unpretentious space to enjoy it. Whether it's a quick coffee before work or a leisurely afternoon with a fresh pastry, this is a place that feels like home.
